• Administration, updating, and management of a full HADOOP cluster both in the LAB,UAT, and Production environments, as well as the net new environments being created for this project.
• Maintain and support all process requirements for OS/middleware patching, access requests, Puppet Blueprint Patch updates ,Lab server management, production support.
• Aligning with the system engineering team to propose and deploy new hardware and software environments required for HADOOP and to expand existing environments.
• Working with data delivery teams to setup new HADOOP users. This job includes setting up Linux users, setting up Kerberos principals and testing HDFS, Hive, Pig and MapReduce access for the new users.
• Cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes using tools like Ganglia, Nagios, Cloudera Manager Enterprise and other tools.
• Excellent Application and server troubleshooting skills.
• Puppet/Ruby/Python, Ruby, Shell scripting skills. HADOOP Administration + scripting abilities with various portions of the HADOOP ecosystem. Pig, Hive, Hbase, etc.
• Working extensively on UNIX Level System Administration, Middleware (Tomcat preferred) and Database such as MYSQ,ORACLE and TERADATA.
• Create and keep current all SharePoint/Confluence documentation on lab management details for servers, projects, and knowledge base.
• Ability to attend training for new software/infrastructure on demand. Experience with GIT and SVN are required(Source control)

• Experience in upgrading from Istanbul to Jakarta version on ServiceNow instance.

• Design and develop software and software development practices that conform to the reference architecture which address the customer’s technical solution requirements and functional business needs.
• Document and/or store all system engineering related artifacts in approved repository.
• Identify and communicate system engineering risks, issues, assumptions, mitigations, and dependencies.
• Participate in solution design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
• Support the independent validation and verification during the project acceptance events, including User Acceptance Testing and Review.
• Provide technical support during software installation or configuration to include end user coloration as needed.
• Monitor compliance with and make recommendations to system architectures and system integration practices that affect the new and existing software solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and seek to resolve software engineering gaps, especially as it concerns end-to-end product compatibility.

• Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API's.
• Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc ..) is needed to be successful in this position.
• Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications.
