Position Summary:
The position provides the opportunity to work on the design, development and management of cutting-edge technology as part of a cross-functional collaborative team supporting several product owners. The Scrum Master will help with the introduction and adoption of Agile Development and facilitate the team's work to accelerate delivery of an acceptable work item by leveling Scrum events and assisting product owners to manage the team backlog.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
Help with the introduction and adoption of Agile values, principles, methods and practices.
Work with teams to remove impediments blocking the completion of work or commitments.
Foster communication and productive relationships with Product Owners, team members and other stakeholders.
Maintain and share an up-to-date awareness of industry trends, best practices and explore new tools that would benefit the organizations Agile practice and approach.
Participate in requirement gathering sessions and analyze the requirements in detail and produce the blue print for functional flow and alignment of work items.
Provide status reports, raise issues, risks, dependencies and review deliverables generated within the scope of the track to ensure that they meet the necessary needs.
Conduct requirement analysis and provide guidance to the functional design and configuration based on needs.
Assist the testing team in creating test strategies and coordinating testing usability by customer.
Create and deliver training as needed and mentor team from a functional perspective to ensure delivery of the tasks.
Facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution.
Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position):
First level Scrum Master Certification (PSM I, CSM) or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
3 years of experience in a software development team as a Scrum Master, IT-Project Manager or Business Analyst.
Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
A basic understanding of .NET Framework. Visual Studio that will allow you to communicate with coders and non-technical stake holders alike.
Experience with Team Foundation Server and included Agile Management Tools and Processes.
Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to manage/lead groups of people and tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Past experience working with Agile based SDLC projects.
Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self study, etc.
Second level Scrum Master Certification (PSM II, CSP).
